International festival brings Bowling Green community together to celebrate diversity

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Traveling the world without leaving the comfort of your home?

Some were able to experience other cultures at the annual International Bowling Green Festival.

From food to music, vendors were also able to showcase their products.

Angela Jones is a board member of the International Festival, she spoke about the uniqueness of the festival. Jones also added this year that they also have new suppliers.

“One of the things that we think makes the festival so special is that it’s a great opportunity for people from different cultures to come together. I think Bowling Green is very lucky to have different little festivals represented by different groups and here we bring everyone together one day in one place, ”Jones said.

A new salesperson, Tobias Roberts has a coffee farm, “my wife and I have a small coffee farm and I worked there, I worked with the International Center when I studied here in western Canada. Kentucky, and I always came to the International Festival where we used to come back here about once a year and a half. So we wanted to try to take advantage of an opportunity to sell our coffee. So yeah, this is our first, first time here.

This marked the 31st annual International Bowling Green Festival.
